Hotel Blackhawk
Restoration St. Louis will be completing the multi-million dollar renovation of the historic Hotel Blackhawk in December, 2010. The Gold Room within will also be painstakingly restored to its former glory!
We're thrilled to see such an important piece of Downtown history working its way back to vitality. |

The Forrest Block
Restoration St. Louis is also restoring the historic Forrest Block building located at the corner of 4th & Brady Streets. This long-vacant landmark will soon become beautiful new luxury apartments.
The Forrest Block is the cornerstone to an important historic corridor on Brady St. that we look forward to seeing fully restored.

Railroad Beautification Project
Debris, invasive trees, and trash have plagued much of the railroad embankment surrounding downtown for years. The Downtown Partnership is currently clearing all of the land, which will then be planted with a variety of beautiful native Iowa wild flowers. Work is already underway. The small map shown outlines in yellow where most of the work will be focused. |

Davenport Front Porch Parkway
One of RiverVision’s primary goals is to ensure that River Drive, and all of our major roadways downtown, become more pedestrian friendly viaducts connecting residents and visitors between our downtown and the Riverfront. The City has developed a plan to add an attractive boulevard along River Drive, which will help connect our downtown more to the riverfront though calming traffic, beautifying the land, and most importantly, increasing pedestrian safety. |
 |
4th & Iowa
A beautiful new grass berm has replaced what was once a concrete wall and industrial site.
Long-time local business, Crescent Cleaners, is providing a great service to the budding neighborhood in the small brick building located in the corner of the property. |
 |
Artists in Residence in the Parker Building
The first floor of the Parker building is currently being used for the Downtown Partnership Artists in Residency program. This program will annually bring in some of the most talented young artists from around the entire country.
Stop by at the corner of 2nd & Brady Streets to view some of their beautiful artwork hanging in the windows! |

Centennial Park - Spray-Park
The Active Recreation Corridor has much to offer families including a complex of two full, tournament quality basketball courts, a youth half-court, a concession/restroom pavilion, a stage, as well as picnic and informal play areas west of the new Skate Park.
Updates on the spray-park coming soon. |
