Who We Are
The Downtown Partnership, a division of Iowa Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, is a non-profit organization focused on the strategic growth and beautification of our historic downtown.
As administrators of the Self Supporting Municipal Improvement District (SSMID), the Downtown Partnership provides leadership and advocacy for downtown economic development, planning, cultural vitality, events, marketing, and clean-and-safe initiatives.

What We Do - Download Brochure
Clean & Safe Team
 Streetscape & Flower BasketsPlants and maintains flower baskets and flower beds throughout downtown- Cleans streets and sidewalks daily
- Maintains decorative light-poles, streetscaping, and holiday lighting
- Plows snow on sidewalks at key intersections
- Beautifies and maintains railroad viaduct
- Cultivates Bechtel Park
Economic Development
 Partners with Quad Cities First to recruit and retain downtown businesses- Provides advocacy and planning for continued residential growth
- Assists in financing and planning for facade improvements
- Provides free market research tools for new and existing businesses via the NewVentures BIG database
- Implements RiverVision, making our Mississippi Riverfront a premier location for visitors, residents, and businesses
Marketing
 Facebook LogoOperates www.DowntownDavenport.com, providing visitors, businesses, and residents with a primary source for up to date downtown info- Circulates weekly event e-calendar and monthly e-news
- Interacts through social media tools such as Facebook
- Promotes downtown via annual regional mass media campaigns
Festivals & Events
 Coordinates downtown’s largest summer festivals including Street Fest, River Roots Live, and Red White & Boom- Recruits hundreds of volunteers each year
- Organizes annual Downtown Cleanup Day
- Provides vital event planning assistance for partnering organizations for downtown community events
- Draws thousands of people to downtown annually for festivals
