Duck City Bistro and the Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) are excited to announce a fundraiser party benefitting park renovations to Kaiserslautern Square. The event will place Thursday, Feb. 28 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Duck City Bistro. 100% of event proceeds will go toward building a completely redesigned pedestrian-friendly park, including an upgraded fountain, new stage, shade trees, LED lighting, and more. Commonly known as “K-Square”, the park is Located on 3rd Street across from the historic Adler Theater; the park honors Davenport’s “sister city,” Kaiserslautern, Germany.
“DDP and Duck City Bistro are proud to partner with the City to help ensure this important park in the heart of downtown reaches its full-potential,” said Kyle Carter, DDP Executive Director. “The refreshed park will be a spectacular amenity for the entire community, and we’re eager to wrap up funding and begin the project ahead of the pending visit from Kaiserslautern City officials this spring.”
Fundraiser tickets include hand-crafted heavy hors d’oeuvres by Chef Jeremy of Duck City Bistro featuring an eclectic mix of gourmet foods. Tickets also include your first cocktail or beverage; a full cash bar will be available, as well. Fundraiser tickets are $50 per person. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the creative menu of food and drinks while mingling with friends to benefit a great cause.
