About the Downtown Davenport Partnership

Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) is a non-profit organization representing the original self-supporting municipal - improvement district (SSMID) in Iowa. With nearly 50 years of understanding the power of Place Management via our private/public partnership with City of Davenport, it is our mission is to administer and operate programs for the general improvement and redevelopment of Davenport’s Central Business District and to enhance its aesthetic appearance and economic future for the community and all the citizens of Davenport. DDP is an affiliate of Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce. 

In a nutshell, we provide enhanced services in three key areas:

Business & Economic Growth

We provide planning, project review and advocate for important issues to improve the ability of Downtown Davenport to compete for investment and for stakeholders to achieve their property and investment goals.

Infrastructure & Livability

We provide constant and continued improvements to the public realm, creating a distinctive sense of place and strong sense of arrival into Downtown Davenport. Cleanliness, beautification, safety and maintenance of the streets, sidewalks and common areas are all things our crew of downtown ambassadors work on every single day.

Advocacy, Promotions & Events

We are the largest voice and advocate for issues impacting downtown. We believe we are stronger when we work together. DDP provides a number of opportunities to highlight the downtown through promotions, events and major festivals.
