Downtown services are some of the most visible work Downtown Davenport Partnership does. 

From keeping sidewalks and public spaces clean to maintaining flowers, removing graffiti, supporting major events and responding to unexpected issues, this work shapes how downtown Davenport looks, feels and functions every day. 

DDP is beginning the search for a Director of Downtown Services to lead the people, resources and partnerships that help keep downtown Davenport clean, welcoming and ready for everything happening across the district. 

This is a hands-on, field-based leadership position. The Director will: 

• Lead and support DDP’s Cleaning Ambassador team 
• Oversee fulfillment of DDP’s downtown maintenance contract with the City of Davenport 
• Manage program budgets, equipment, supplies and service-tracking systems 
• Coordinate beautification, cleaning and public-space maintenance 
• Build strong relationships with City departments, downtown businesses, property owners and community partners 
• Support outdoor programming, seasonal activations and district festivals 
• Respond creatively and quickly to daily on-street challenges 

DDP is a small team with a big footprint. Our work touches public spaces, business support, beautification, events, placemaking, redevelopment and many of the projects shaping the future of downtown Davenport. No two days are quite the same and the results of this position’s work are visible throughout the district. 

We’re looking for someone who can balance leadership and accountability with a willingness to jump in and get things done. The right person will be organized, practical, relationship-oriented and genuinely excited about helping downtown Davenport succeed.
