New historic listing for Davenport’s Motor Row has tax incentive implications

Tax credits can help fund renovations

October 29, 2019

Davenport’s Motor Row area in downtown has been designated a national historic district, a listing that city leaders expect will spur more redevelopment in the area. The National Register of Historic Places listing is desirable because it makes properties eligible for federal and state historic preservation tax credits that can be used to help finance renovation.

The request for listing on the National Register of Historic Places came from the Downtown Davenport Partnership. Read more about the Motor Row designation in the Quad-City Times HERE>>.
