UPDATE – November 4, 2026: Addendum No. 1 with responses to respondent questions and RFP clarifications is now available.
Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) is seeking proposals from qualified wayfinding, environmental graphic design and urban design firms to develop a new pedestrian wayfinding system for Downtown Davenport.
The project will create a cohesive, easy-to-navigate system that helps residents and visitors move throughout downtown, connect with key destinations and discover more of the district along the way.
The selected consultant will lead the project from analysis and wayfinding strategy through design, documentation and implementation support. The work will consider DDP's full 52-block district, with the consultant helping determine priority pedestrian routes, destinations, decision points and the appropriate location and extent of the physical wayfinding system.
The project will build from Downtown Davenport's established place brand while prioritizing legibility, accessibility, durability and long-term functionality. DDP also anticipates implementing the system in phases, beginning with a first phase targeted for installation in summer 2027.
