Downtown Program intern

Responsibilities:

Outreach to downtown businesses and property owners to ensure accuracy of downtown directories, website information, and property listings

Assist with updating and creating business information, events, sponsorships and leads in ChamberMaster database

Input content on websites, social media and apps for downtowns including festival & events, artist or program info, dates, times, locations, supporting details in partnership with the Coordinator, Marketing & Social Media

Research and collect data from state and county sources to track downtown growth

Assist with key performance metrics data collection and reports

Ensure detailed content is accurate, up-to-date, concise and follows consistent formatting

Assist with social media for downtowns

Assist at the downtown festivals including event logistics set-up, during event and tear-down

Available at Chamber events to assist with logistics, set-up, registration and programs

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Marketing, Communications or Business Administration majors desired, but not required

Professional, service-oriented attitude

High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communications skills, both oral and written

Strong organization and planning skills

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks

Ability to work independently

Dependable and flexible

Must be willing to work occasional evening, weekend and early morning hours

Summary:

The Downtown Program intern will work 40 hours a week from May 16 - Aug. 31, and be paid $12 an hour. The internship is based in Davenport, but it may be a mix of in-office and remote work. Apply to HR@quadcitieschamber.com.
